Attacking a drone summoned to kill someone else

I want to know, does this still get you banished from the Detroit Megacity?

I really want that Gauss Rifle, you see.

Well, armies are like that, they don't like their stuff being destroyed. XD

Getting banished isn't the end of the world. It's a normal part of the game. So why not simply get your operations done, stock up on some meds, and do whatever story bits you may or may not be interested in doing in there, and then just get banished? You really don't need the city whatsoever after that, there's really nothing useful in there except the story bit and the operations.

"the story bit"

I was a bit disappointed with the lack of content in this one. I did it myself a couple times to see if there were any differences one way or the other just talking to the person, but there really wasn't. According to the wiki, if I had some additional skills, I could see a picture, but not much beyond that unless I'm mistaken.

As always with disappointment, it depends on your expectations. It's meant to give you some hints and then promptly kick you out on your ass so that you go on searching for the places it hints at. It does give a few different subtle story and lore details depending on which path you take, but they're nothing big or loud, just small things - if you're not the sort of person who's fascinated by such details, they won't make a difference, but they're interesting for some of us. Anyway, we shouldn't be highjacking this thread, it is about drones and being kicked out of the city, not about plot discussions. :)

I do like access to the Junk Market, though. And the occasional Cadillac at the Red Gnome.

Well, the Junk Market's in the Sprawl, so you can still access it. You just cant get through the Gates, so no Gnome.
