Burdened, how to modify the stat in the .xml file

I finally figured out how to actually FIND the game files to tinker around with modding (thanks to linibot and dcfedor for explanation on what to do). Now I am trying to change little aspects of the game and I was wondering if any one knew what the "burdened" stat was calculated and if anyone knew how to change the "strength" of a character easily.

Thanks!

Sorry for slow response, but there's very little going on around here lately... Anyways...

If you want to change your character's carrying capacity, you should look for conditions affecting the "m_fEncumberanceLimit" field. I'm not sure what the starting limit is (I am guessing it's 100 and, again guessing, always assumed the unit is lbs) but you can see how the Strong and Feeble conditions are affecting it. Former one adds +50 while latter penalizes the player with -45.

So if you want to make a super-strong fellow, simply make a new condition, which adds +100 to the m_fEncumberanceLimit for example, and add it to the "player" creature type (ID 23). This way, player will be able to carry twice as much.

ok I figured out that part from what you said, but is there a way to make it so that only the player is affected?

Find "player" in the creature types and add that new condition there as =1 (meaning it will always be given to him at the start of the game).

Ok I figured it out :)

I just copy pasted the "Strong" condition column at the end of the conditions table and changed the ID to 873 and then added that ID to the BaseConditions list

Thanks!
