aSwitchIDs question

I just noticed that you can have item A with 0 storage capacity, switch to item B with X capacity, and then store items in it, and switch back to item A that has 0 storage, and switch back to find everything you left inside of item B still remaining. My question is, does this bug at all? Say the player stored a few things in the item B and switched it back to item A, will those items ever end up despawning over time if the player was to switch back to item B? I'm going to test this but I just discovered you could do it, so I figured I'd ask if anyone knows anyway.

Yeah, I would be interested to know that. As far as I know, the game does not use that anywhere: computers do black-out the programs/data, but do keep the inventory grid visible, but cannot think of a place where turning the item into another one would disappear the grid completely.

Though, even if that works, it would be an exploit-prone thing - since if the inventory disappears, the weight of the stored items would go away too, creating a magic item :D

Ah yes the laptop, I forgot about that. Do you know if items degrade while 'hidden' at all?

Sorry, I was wrong about the laptop - it keeps the inv grid visible, and only blacks out the files.

I thought you were going to be right on the weight-disappearing thing but it turns out to my surprise it actually remains!

Sorry for image size, took them straight from dropbox. e_e;

Edit: The items inside do degrade as normal though. Dang.

No image is visible for me at all, but I do believe on word :D

It might be somewhat useful, if there is no item lose and the weight and degradations work correctly. But it might also be confusing to some.

Welp, guess I haven't figured out this dropbox sharing thing yet. ha, I only noticed it saying I could send screenshots to it when I hit prtscr before. u__u I think I've got it set up in a fairly straight forward way though. Pretty much just working on a gun case that saves a few grid spaces when carrying every item related to the gun, silencer, ammo, clip etc but it can only be carried while closed. I think keeping this denied access while carrying it (in hands only) kind of adds to the feel of the item just that little bit more. But on the other hand, maybe it will be annoying to have to empty out the container if you want something from it, but then again I'm going to try to have it so that if someone wants to have the items in there, they want them there, not switching back and forth constantly.
