Scavenging with NV goggles and flashlight

I find it strange how the flash light and night vision goggles use energy when used to scavenge an area, even if having the item switched on uses energy. Could someone make a mod which removes the energy usage when scavenging ? Thanks

Removing energy usage would basically make them infinite (I mean, other than degrading).
