Hiding - camouflage a base

Just a small one, but overall I've found the hiding skill to be completely useless. I think it's the only skill where you can see a bar, but not increase that bar beyond the minimum.
Healing? Lay down a sleeping bag.
Alertness? Noise traps.
All you can do with hiding is TAKE OUT covers and things. Why not let us make a camouflage covering?

Hiding doesn't do much for your camp, true. I have found it to be much more useful in combat, both in avoiding it and in attacking stealthily. The last option is actually almost too good, because the advantage you get from being able to attack someone who can't yet see you is substantial.

That said, your idea isn't bad. I think Chiko implemented something in his mod recently to help camouflage camps slightly, but attaching that to the skill is also a neat idea. Maybe a modder will pick that one up. :)

Junk and clutter deteriorate consealment

Tu regere imperio populos, Romane, memento/hae tibi erunt artes/pacisque imponere morem, parcere subiectis et debellare superbos.

so i just need to put down 100 KG of junk and im safe to sleep?

Ok, who took my campfire?

Much the opposite.

I prepared Explosive Runes this morning!

I think you missunderstod, he doesnt want to know what determitates consealment

Ok, who took my campfire?

BTW, I've never had items gone missing from a camp, can it really happen? (Meaning the camp here, not items just laying around in the hex, I always have a clean hex, apart from some wood and kindlings.)

I know what you mean but maybe it should be another way:
If theres 2 camps you can put junk in a place and others will go there,
But not to the other camp
That should be concealment

Ok, who took my campfire?

Well, it's not going to happen in the vanilla game, but read my sig for my overhaul mod. which has a camo tent

as for the clutter info, i didn't know that.
