[WIP] I-Neo-More v0.54

Hello everyone! So I'm just going to say that the mod isn't finished (Yet!) and it's just for testing right now. But aside from that, I recently started to mod and this is what I came up with so far, the "I-Neo-More" mod, essentially being "I need more" Neo Scavenger.

BETA Download: Compatible with M(m)MoD v0.88b
I-Neo-More v0.54

To download you click on the link, then download it there. Then install as usual. Extract the .zip file into your Neo Scavenger game folder. Please note that this is a Beta download and not the compete mod.

Did you somehow managed to find a way to make the larger liquids container (jerrycan) to only store one liquid at a time, or will it be possible to carry a drop of water and a drop of cola in it, without them mixing? :D

I actually have no idea how I would allow it to hold only one liquid at a time, so yes you can just chuck all your water, gas and cola in to one container without them mixing. I did the 4x6 because i wanted to make the Gasoline only stack to two, so you cant have like 5 liters of gas in a water bottle, so the jerrycan can hold more. It's the same thing with the gas generator, it can hold your hot chocolate and gas at the same time.

You can set the "gasoline droplet" item to be new, original containertypes, and set the generator to only hold this one type. Will make a lot more sense than having chocolate in there :D

Okay, thanks for the tip, now generators can only hold gas. Should I do the same for the jerrycan? or leave it a non mixing jug.

Whatever suits you fancy, really. It is because of that UI shortcoming, that Dan didn't added the bigger liquid canisters. But in mods, everything goes, so if you want that, its OK to add it like that.

Another problem is size - you want to add a can with capacity of 10 liters. Since each 2-droplet stack of water is 0.5 liter (each droplet weights 0.25 kg so it's 0.25 liter of water), to make your item have the actual capacity that people will expect, it would have to have enough space for 20 droplet stacks, so something like this:
    IMAGE(http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag130/Kaaven/10liters_zps65287f32.png)

The grid with size 4x6 will only hold 2 liters, so that's more like a big Cola bottle...

Oh... okay I'll change it to be a small 2L jerrycan instead. Thanks again for telling me.

Love the art, especially the flare gun!

Generators are a great addition, and something I've wanted in the game for a while as a "camp fixture" for setting up a more permanent place to live.

As for large containers and liquids, my own personal (WIP and as-yet-unreleased) mod adds a "water jerry can" (plastic rather than your cool metal one) and larger water collector drums, and there's no way I could see to prevent multiple liquids being put inside... that's just a limitation of the game engine we have to live with, I think.

As Kaaven said, making a generator only accept gasoline is doable, though, and a good idea I think, too.

One thing you could do re: container size vs liquid capacity is maybe make gasoline (fuel) a "small droplet" (1x1). Long ago, in the beta, lighters contained "lighter fluid" (the graphic is still in the img folder, thankfully) that was done this way, and it would let you fit a lot more gasoline in a jerry can without the need for a massive internal capacity grid size.

I like that this is a cool-sounding yet not too extravagant mod; it adds new stuff, but it should still be compatible with other mods out there like MmMoD and NSE (either/or, of course). I personally like my mods as "modular" as possible, so I can pick and choose what to include! All your ideas will IMO enhance the game without drastically changing it, adding things that make sense and expand on the game's "world" and survival simulation aspects... so a big thumbs up from me so far!

I'm definitely looking forward to I-Neo-More!

    My Mods:SaveMan|Fishing|Shouldered|Bottles

Thanks for the Awesome feed back!

As for the gas droplet, it's a little to late for changing it to a 1x1 droplet, but just to nerf the jerrycan, I made it so it can only hold gas, but thanks for the tip anyway.

And I think I'm almost at the stage for a "beta" download, so I'll be posting it soon!

(PS: Your fishing mod was the first mod I played. LOVE IT)

So i would like to try out the mod but i noticed you haven't posted it is it still bugged or is it available for testing?

Also the ability to have energy is something i would find as a nice addition to my own game as whenever i want energy i have to hike back to DMC with a full bag of batteries (i am at ATN and have night vision and flashlight to make scavenging easier but every 30 to 40 minutes have to go back to DMC) if you still need people to test it out i would like to :).

    Cannibal Family Picnic

Although the mod it isn't quite finished yet and theirs still a few bugs and balancing issues... I'll try post a Beta download ASAP for the players who want to beta test it.

    Cool

    Cannibal Family Picnic

So i know that a flare gun is a feasible weapon but it can easily be turned into a improvised gun with some tools while using the flare gun as a base but increasing or decreasing barrel size

    Cannibal Family Picnic

Maybe I could use a flare gun in the "Improvised shotgun" recipe I'm planing on doing... It's basically a one/two shot gun, that uses shotgun shells(or flares if used a flare gun), that's not as good as a shotgun, but close.

Didn't realise you'd got a beta version done, mate! I'm psyched to try it out and will give it a shot asap and send feedback!

I'll also take a look at making some "compatibility patches" for you, as promised.

The thought of shooting a charging dogman with a flare gun is a good one... :)

    My Mods:SaveMan|Fishing|Shouldered|Bottles

Thanks for helping with the compatibility patches!

And I was thinking of adding an encounter at the cryo lab to so... ;)

Oh No! I uploaded the wrong .zip file! if you downloaded the v0.5 version it will be a little buggy.

How does the solar generator work it gave me 19 energy and that was it is going to be possible to eventually build one on your own

    Cannibal Family Picnic

The solar generator works by using the sunshine (Only availible during day and clear skys) and the solar generator in the crafting tab. Should look something like this. Also, the generators may spawn with electric charges in them.

And I might add like a makeshift generator later, but my next goal is to add broken generators that electricians can repair.

I have an update and patch coming soon XD

It includes compatibility patch for the M(m)MoD.

    My Mod: I-Neo-More Remastered

I have possible solution for big liquid containers (I suggested it for main game, but it never was implemented :/ )
    1.Find empty 2L bottle
2."Craft" it with liquid of choice (if crafted with cola will add Large bottle (Corn-a-cola)
3.Each droplet change condition of filled bottle (for example one droplet of whiskey=2%, while water/cola/tea=12.5%)
4.Once you have large bottle with liquid you can use it for crafting(instead of droplets of equivalent liquid), craft just this bottle alone (into droplet and bottle wit less condition- to empty it out) or "consume", every such action decreases condition of bottle for amount equal to chosen liquid (2% for whiskey, 12.5% for water/cola/tea)
5.When item hits 0% it changes back to empty Large bottle (and can be refilled with any liquid)

Same principal could work with 5/10/20L cans and even larger liquid barrels (effectively it can go up to 400L container, limited by whiskey droplet being 0.01%)

Liquid limitation is unnecessary in such case

    ============================================
Children's backpack full of bullets? I see nothing wrong in that.

The ideas there, it's just, I have no idea how I could change the conditions to go up and down by a set amount.

My ideal kind of game is like Caravaneer 2, where I can construct a small base to subsist on and build it into a large goods warehouse.

Personally, I'd like to see large industrial storage barrels and more integration of labeling. It's one thing to survive, but what most players want to do is to live.

I might adds some things like that. Maybe you can find barrels of petrol or supply crates. Personally, I would like more options for bases, so maybe a way turn a campsite into a base. Like adding power needed utilities like ovens of lights.

    I'll think about it.
