More Encounter Drafting, and Potential Encounter Enhancements

Cameron and I have exchanged notes on another two encounters, and those are shaping up nicely. The way they are looking, it might be time for me to start thinking about encounters that allow chances at outcomes, rather than deterministic outcomes. (E.g. using item X results in outcome Y 50% of the time, and Z the other 50%). This doesn't seem like it'll be hard to add, so I may look into that tomorrow. We'll also have to see if it makes the encounter confusing at all. In theory, I don't think it will, but it's always possible it feels weird once in practice.

I also may need to start considering encounters that use money. It's easy enough to deduct money from the player as a result of an encounter choice. However, making sure they have the requisite money beforehand will require new code. Again, probably not hard to do. Just need to rework a few bits of code. Once done, this might allow for things like buying food, shelter, medical care, etc. Seems like it would get a lot of use, so I may check that out tomorrow too.

Finally, I did a bit more work on the art piece from Friday. Mostly dirtying it up a bit, to look more worn-out and post-apocalyptic. I'm still on the fence as to whether it needs more or not (could really go either way). I may wrap it up for now, and revisit later for a fresh perspective.

And that's Monday! Have a good night, and see you tomorrow!
