Back in the Office, Bug-Fixing

Hey Folks! Hope you had a good week. Our family visit/wedding went well, but man, was it busy. I think we almost spent as much time driving around the wilderness as we did visiting. It's good to be home again.

Now that I'm back, I had to spend a bit of time catching up on messages, paperwork, and the usual administrivia. Fortunately, I was also able to start fixing a few of the bugs you've been finding and reporting.

First of all, gas mask filters were not working in most containers, due to my forgetting to update all relevant containers. So I've gone and added that data, and it should work in the next build. I also accidentally discovered a null-pointer bug when the game was cleaning-up between states, so I fixed that, too.

The Saginaw encounter had several issue that folks found. One problem was a whole missing branch of the encounter if one speaks to Liza. I had to add that text and hook up the choices. There was also a dead-end in the North Wing which needed patching. The Merga Realm also had some encounter issues, allowing infinite loot. Plus, some typos here and there.

Finally, I decided to add "blisters" as a possible condition from wearing shoes on the wrong foot. I swear this may be one of the most often asked questions in the game, so I figured I'd finally add it :) It starts as a warning about inappropriate footwear, but will turn into painful blisters in a few hours if not addressed.

That's all for today. I'll be back tomorrow to resume fixes. Night, all!

I've only just got over a massive blister from Rugby myself, and when I say blister. It ended up being more of a sore as there was no skin left covering it!

Ah, I remember getting blisters. Those were the days, when I used to go outside...

Heh, I just got some bad blisters on the back of my heels by having my combat boots on the CORRECT feet. :P Wrong socks, improperly fitted boots (damn high arches), low quality, whatever the reason, these freaking hurt.

So of course I'm eager to see the NPC AI put the wrong shoes on the wrong feet and suffer as I suffer. :D
