A Guass Rifle Code,

Ok so wile making a new weapon shh its a secret, but ive come across the imfamous Gauss Rifle, is there anyway i can import it into the game let alone start out with it (for testing reasons) i really would like the help with ot

O wait that's my Custom Mod.

I don't think so, there's no itemtype table (that I can see) for it, nor are there any sprites. I can only assume it's still in development

*edit*

Also, I know absolutely nothing about guns so I could be very wrong, but I think thats just an adjective for a type of round used by the .308 rifle. mmm ? I dunno *edit* nm, I see now that there's seperate ammo already for that, it just borrows some of the code for reference. Yeah its still in development.

The gauss rifle is already in the game, if you look at the DMC sniper loadout (treasure ID specified in the creature definition). The only thing missing is artwork.

There are quite a few ways to get the item for testing. The easiest is probably to change the cryo hex idle loot treasure.

I saw a texture for it in the img folder while fixing makeshift rifle ;) , Will it ever be available or craft able in game in a soon update

That picture was actually intended to be a laser rifle. And that, too, is already in the game, it's just not hooked up to any treasure tables.

I'm unsure if I'll add it in the end. It depends on whether I can make the science of it plausible or not.

I'm sure isotope mine can find a way for that science to be plausible ;)

Oooooh a Fallout gun!
Does it use 12mm EC? Or energy?
Fallout 1/2 used 12mm EC ammo (which is rare), and the other games used energy cells.

Burp

4mm Mega Traveller ammo, baby!

Seriously, GDW had some awesome RPGs and supplements back in the day. You should check out Fire, Fusion, and Steel if you ever get the chance. I bit outdated by today's standards, but awesome nonetheless.
