Progress Report

So I've decided to post a little progress report that I'll update as I go along. I reckon it will help me stay motivated and at the same time give eager testers an idea of how long till the next update :D

Nice!

I really like the techno side of your mod, and I really like the combat and food side of Chico's mod. I really like the idea of chained and connected combat, like his wrestling grappling system, that you can do one move that leads you into a set of other moves and these all 'bounce' off of each other as to whether once side or the other will be victorious.

The one irratitation for me about the combat is the colour coding system, where all damage is recorded in red whether it is you or the enemy being hit, and all 'protection' is reported in green regardless of whehter it is good or bad for you, I looked at the code for this and the way it is done seems unchangable...

Yay! Can't wait for the new version!

What a pain in the butt! I finally find the error that stopped the game from loading past 0% only to get stuck at another bug on 42% lol... *sigh*

Well that's modding for you. Hahaha! Annoying, I know. I once spent 4 hours looking for an error which turned out to be a missing period.

Try checking if the number of lines in the getimages.php is right. If I remember correctly that is the problem that freezes loading at 42%

I wish :< I tested the getimages.php with a working neogame.xml file, and that loads up fine
but with the current xml file I'm working with I get this :

I've gone through the treasure tables over and over :P can't seem to figure out where else I messed up :P

Even installed the Xml Tools plugin for notepad++ to try search for syntax errors but that's no help lol, it finds errors where there isn't any, I don't think I know how to set the thing up properly or something

Edit: also lol at the damn useless xml tools :/ (or my inability to use it)

Managed to narrow it down, deleted a bunch of treasure tables at the end of the file and it loaded up ! so now I know from where to look for the problem in the end of my treasure tables!

hehe almost, I'm still about halfway though, almost done adding Chiko's NeoScav Extended Mod... just some weird bug I can't figure out, I've located the offending treasuretable, can't see anything wrong with it busy checking all stuff connected to it to try track down whatever is causing the problem

and BINGO!!! woohoo... man I'm glad that's over, I found the damn thing. it was all because I had the wrong treasuretable ID in "nComponentID" pffffffff

So last night/very early this morning, I managed to finish adding Kaaven's Mighty Mod of Doom. Problem is I was very tired and probably made too many syntax errors lol. So it's complicated bug fixing time again! Just trying to find the bugs that's preventing the game from starting now.

Not sure about the t-shirt, I didn't change the price when I added Kaaven's Mighty Mod of Doom. I'll play around and see how frequently I can loot it, maybe it's supposed to be a rare vintage collector's t-shirt

That's weird - in my files it is set to be worth $14. Must have been changed by accident, somewhere along the way.

About the frequency - NeoCannibal and Black Sun t-shirts are not lootable in the current version - only Bad Muthas wear them. Grey jeans should be as frequent as normal pants, and sneakers should make up 50% of all footwear found (that is, if you haven't changed that).

The encounter still does not work as it should, but I found why:

In encounter 1647

I'm really tired of updating my game every time some one finds a bug, but it is my civic duty as a follower of this mod to inform you on the latest bug that I found during my playthrough of the Apocalyptic game know as NEO SCAVENGER which I modded to make the game more interesting, A GAME BREAKING BUG A BUG SO HORRIBLE AND DESTRUCTIVE THAT I CAN'T STAND TO PLAY THE GAME EVER AGAIN....

The scrap metal machete recipe, Scrap metal + Tool box + rags = Scrap metal machete, doesn't work. it makes one scrap knife instead.

And no I wasn't confused about the recipe, also the scrap metal knife recipe make only 2 it's supposed to make tree. (NOT SURE IF THIS IS RIGHT)

haha, well I added an additional recipe for scrap metal knives : aviation snips + large metal blade + 4xrags = 1 to 2 scrap metal knives

and for scrap metal machete : aviation snips + large metal blade + 3xrags = scrap machete

I'll take note of that bug you found and fix it in the next update :) thanks for testing!

1) colt 1911 (pistol) dont fit in lockers (forbidden)
2) laser rifle bug - when i added a rope to the rifle the outcome gave me a rifle with a battary (I had it with battary, but now I have two)

Tire armor. All these tires and no way to craft them into armor.

I found black belt but outside of metal pipes I can't get what I can put inside
