Damn you Mr Fedor

I have been designing (almost) the exact same game in Unity and you beat me to it!! It's a good thing since my primary motive making it was because I wanted to play it , now I get to play yours and make something else haha. That being said I think I did have some good ideas (complete with illustrations and in some cases C# code), a lot of them are based on unity's physics engine like spreading fires/flood and collapsing ground tiles, but some for combat and crafting, and health/hygiene system may be interesting for NS.If you are interested I can send you my concept art and design docs, perhaps help you with some extra graphics if you need them, just PM me your email.

Hey lordwedggie!I think you should still make your game! I would play it :) And I think there are at least a few hundred people here who would as well. Hardcore survival games are actually somewhat underrepresented on the market, it seems. And after players finish with one game, often they still want to play the same type of game.Regarding your offer to send docs/artwork: While I always welcome fresh ideas and feedback, I'd feel awkward accepting design docs and/or artwork. A big part of the fun for me is in making the game: designing systems, drawing pictures, making sound effects, writing story, etc. If I took someone else's work, I don't get to do the fun part myself. I'm a greedy developer :)However, if you have some ideas that you think would be a good fit for NEO Scavenger, I encourage you to share them on the forums. Many people have already, and some of those ideas became actual features! Usually, the biggest problem for me is finding enough time to develop the ideas. There's a huge list of good ideas (both from me and fans like you), and I can't keep up with them. I do my best, though! Thanks again for the kind offer, and I'm glad you're enjoying the game!
