And oldie and I would say goodie but not particularly

That is because the current full beta version is 0.982, while the test build (the newest, but least tested) is 0.984.

@luciuskiller, did you mean 0.985? If so, I haven't released it yet. I'm still working on it. I just mentioned 0.985 because I think it will be ready soon.

there is a problem with the game screen where some parts of the letters are missing and I cannot read anything of the text. I have filterd it and it is not my computer as all other text on the page is fine.

Which version of the game are you running? There should be a number and date below the logo on the game's title screen. Usually it says something like "0.982b 2/13/2014" or similar.

Which OS do you use? Windows, OSX, or Linux? And which version?

And what resolution settings are you using? E.g. 800x450, 1360x768, 1600x900, or 2400x1350? And are any of the following buttons enabled?

Fullscreen
Stretch
Filter

Finally, what resolution is your monitor?

If your text is missing or hard to read, it sounds like it might be related to the graphics settings in the game. But it's hard to say without knowing more. You can also post a screenshot to imgur.com and link it here, if you prefer. That will show us what you are seeing.

I have a black screen as neo scavenger. the game loads up fine but when the loading screen is done it just goes to black? the music starts to play but all I have is a black screen. I have the newest version of the game.

I have fixed it by going full screen.

Ah, that's good to hear! It sounds like maybe the graphics settings were pushing the game graphics off-screen, and you couldn't see them in the small window.

I'm glad to hear you're able to play again!
