What music do you play when you play NEO Scavenger?Personally, I play the fallout 1/2 soundtrack. Usually Desert Wind or Moribund world.

Veteran of the Psychic Wars by Blue Oyster Cult always conjures up images of the apocalypse for me:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mWGmzduYnU Probably from watching Heavy Metal too many times as a kid :)Also, Selected Ambient Works Volume II by Aphex Twin was a good source of haunting wasteland music:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBU3uAzRejs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcn2ZZxA5G4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzIOcnOCQv0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5Zsn6tJ2MY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7HK3fj2y20 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm-RQAFfooQ

TFSOL is a good accompaniment... pretty much any ambient or techno would work. The Prodigy has some nice nihilistic sounding stuff. I think that music for this sort of game would fall into: nihilistic, hopeful and ambient in general.

Speaking of BOC; Sole Survivor is excellent too... especially at the end when he dehumanises the other survivor he discovers because after-all, he is "the sole survivor". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUoonllfMxk (Then again, you can't really go wrong with anything off of Fire of Unknown Origin.)

I listen to the Vault Archives album by Mark Morgan. Which is the soundtrack to fallout 1 and 2. Works perfectly.

I prefer the movie soundtrack of The Road, written by Cormac McCarthy. I think the ambient sound of it really adds to NEO Scavenger.

Truthfully? I'm typically listening to old "This American Life" podcasts. Or old radio detective shows. Phillipe Marlowe is one of my favorites, and I'm just getting into The Shadow.
