More aural sounds?

Heavy breathing and coughing if you are sick. Sniffiling.

Bandits either screaming, charging, begging for their lives, etc...

I could help with this.

Some sounds to inform about character state seem like a good idea. NPCs making sounds, however, would get repetitive very fast I think, becoming more annoying then immersing.

I think there should be sounds in fights to indicate who was hit.
