PR Day

Yesterday's build seems to be doing well so far. The reports have been pretty positive, so that's good news! I was waiting to see if any major issues came up, because if not, I think it's time for me to do a little bit of hawking wares.

Today, I spent most of my day compiling data on all the press outlets I've spoken with so far. I collected names, email addresses, links to relevant articles, and dates for my last contact with them. I also started shopping around for YouTubers who do Let's Plays and similar videos for indie games. I'm hoping to start contacting a few to see if they'd like to do a video on NEO Scavenger.

So if you guys have any favorites out there, let me know! Especially if they're into games like NEO Scavenger. With some luck, and some help from the vidcaster talent out there, maybe NEO Scavenger can reach interested players who haven't seen the game yet. And what's more, I think a few lucky shots of publicity could tip the scales on Greenlight.

Have a good night, all!

TotalBiscuit on Youtube does first impressions for indie games and games in beta. I find that he's pretty fair with his opinions and he has a relatively large subscriber base.

Of course, if you plan on sending him a copy of NEO Scavenger to look at then I would recommend you have a complete list of the game's keybindings in the 'Help' menu. He's a real stickler for stuff like that.

Yeah, he have this series called "Alpha Strike" where he shows unfinished games, NEO Scavenger would fit there. But you are right o0m-9, that guy is big on options and NS has none :D

Thanks for the tip! I was aware of TotalBiscuit, but I didn't know about his penchant for keybindings.

I suppose it's probably worth doing anyway, since regular folks would prefer that too. I'll have to look into that.

Thanks again!
