Help, need more space.

With more and more items added to the game I get bigger and bigger problems with storing stuff. I spend 80% of the time with inventory management. Currently, I live in a burned out apartment and I don't see a good reason why it has such a small inventory.

Are all the items you are storing important to your survival? Make yourself that question and find out what you need and what you can leave outside.

Have two backpacks on you at all times, carry a sled with a string or use a boxcart or grocery cart. Lastly, try to make your weapons strapped so that you can carry two. What do you store in your inventory?

I often have full inventories because I'm trying to have supplies which I can use to survive or sell.

I have 5 backpacks and a box cart. But as a mechanic I have to store spare parts for vehicles, so I can repair them when they break. I have a rifle and a shotgun, if I could exchange my shotgun ammo for rifle ammo I would do that and sell the shotgun (or vice versa), but I can't. If I could make ammo on my own I would sell the compound bow. Then there's necessary medical stuff, melee weapons, tools, crafting materials, noise traps, some food, water and wood. I would combine my three 20% mutlitools to a 60% tool if I could, but this isn't Minecraft. I also don't have backpacks and vehicles eqipped when I sleep to avoid degradation.

It would already be helpful if there was a way to access items in containers without equipping that container first. When the cursor is over a container a window with information appears that also shows the contents. There should be a way to prevent this window from disappearing after moving the cursor away and make the items accessible.

What spare parts could you possibly need for a box cart? The only items that affect durability on it are the boxes themselves, which you can just store other things inside of.

You don't need that much stuff, dude. Sell your guns, 2 of your multitools, keep your compound bow and make crude arrows for it, sell all of your melee weapons (keep a crowbar if you don't have lockpicking). You don't need more than like 2 or 3 of each type of pill at a time, so sell those too. I would also get rid of all but one or two of the backpacks, selling the highest-quality ones first.

Just get rid of as much crap as you can until you have enough money for cybereyes, then use whatever's left over to buy pristine quality guns.

I also make a habit of buying whatever ammo the junk shop has to sell at any given time, while theres only like 3 bullets at a time, if you do this on a regular basis you can quickly have 2-3 full mags for any gun.

That's true, but strange. This seems to be a bug. Actually all parts should degrade.
