Reset the feature votes?

It seems like feature votes should be reset (everyone gets there votes back) and allow people to revote to gauge what things changed. (It hasnted changed from new plot in a long time because it has overwhelming votes and it was worked on 2 updates ago) So I think a reset is in order.

I think this would make sense.

Edit: If resetting votes is not an option, then archiving the old poll and starting a new one would be good.

I see what you're saying. The feature voting poll is pretty hard to change these days, because there are a lot of votes already cast. That said, I don't think I've necessarily "finished" any of the current top choices, so I don't want to dismiss them yet. Though I'll admit, they're hard to gauge as "finished" or not, since they're fairly open-ended.

Just out of curiosity, what sorts of things do you expect to be voted on now? Do you think many people are voting on something other than what's currently most popular?

In all honesty, I suspect that in big part poll wouldn't go much different as you seem to be improving several aspects of the game over a span of time - some new event here, a new item there - across the board. People's favorite - plot - may have been a bit neglected lately but I assume it's just a temporary pause because of the new inventory system and it's effects on the game, which things have to be tackled before we (though, in a way, it's more of 'you') can move onto other stuff.

Personally, I am satisfied because developments and additions kinda befit what I'd like, though I understand if there are people who after many months changed opinion on what's needed the most and would like to share such.

I'd expect the plot to have much less votes now, plot was voted on back when there seriously like was no plot you couldnt enter the city, and there were few encounters. Now there are many more encounters and you can enter the city, thats just why I think it should be changed.

I must disagree with Nickboom on that. Now that people got a few new toys to play with, including all-time favorite shotgun, and can eat those bloody raiders (I honestly never suspected so many people would like to see cannibalism) they will most likely soon realize again how abruptly the story ends and would like to see more of it.

Other than that - the more weapons and craftable items bars will surely get lower only to feed other "more stuff" bars - as we can already see on forum with thread demanding new scavengable locations.

I've never used "my" feature vote, because the one I want most isn't on there:

"Player can name their character and choose their gender"

I'm a bit puzzled why we still can't do the former; the only time you even need a "name" is on the console readout in the cryo facility, if I recall. Choosing gender I can see is a bit of an issue, as most players would expect a male or female "paper doll", but I'm not that fussy so long as the choice is there and is reflected in the occasional encounter.

Stuff like "more crafting" I always took as a given (the whole game, even the earliest demo I played, is based around scavenging and crafting!) while "more plot" might be fun, but isn't why I like the game (it's the scavenging and crafting! :) ).

"Name your character" is there and it's the second least voted option (after leader-boards), going head to head with "Winter tiles" (which I, personally, would like to see way more).

But no "choose your gender". Sure, you could choose a female name, but encounter/game text would still imply you're male ("Dude!"). :)
