Tutorial video for the wiki.

Feedback would be appreciated. As the title says my purpose was to make a video for the wiki that would give some tips and tricks for newer players. Let me know.

Good tutorial I'll sticky this for you, however you dont address the new crafting system nor combat (other then running) which would be helpful for new players. (Separate videos would do)

Correct my intent was to keep the video focused on your first night of survival. I could do a series similar to what PaulSoares did for minecraft in its early days. I will redo the video in the upcoming days and make it slightly more concise and also roll in any feedback. I could do a video with more information and a broader goal, but that would add to the length.

Thats fine also would you mind shorting the title of the thread a little (dont have to but just to be a little easier on the eyes)

And oldie and I would say goodie but not particularly

I added the video to the wiki article Hints and Tips.

Let me know if you think another video is warranted, a rough guess of how many people use the wiki link to watch the video is about 5 per day, the others being manual searches within youtube or my existing subs. I'll be happy to do a video if requested from the wiki admins or if a community member thinks a particular part of the game would be best served with a video. PM'ing me on youtube would be your best bet for a speedy response.

I've had an odd number of people asking me to do a lets play for the game but unfortunately I record so rarely I do not see my self doing a whole series. I haven't played in a little shy of a month, that being said I might do another updated tutorial video for it. If someone has an idea that may be more helpful then a first night tutorial I am open to suggestions.

Just focus on one thing per video. It doesn't have to be a half hour long thing. Just like 5 minutes where you explain a particular feature. Like a basic crafting video: Make a spear or a noise trap or something. Most people won't want to sit through a long video to learn the feature they are interested in anyway.
