Death by Everything

As far as I can tell, this is still happening. I'm fairly sure I'm dying of something, but it's reporting it wrong as a combination of exhaustion, starvation, dehydration and heat stroke (if I recall correctly, or some permutation of those).

Sounds like you're sick and only noticing the symptoms.  Did you drink unclean water?  Eat spoiled squirrel?  Eat poison/unidentified mushrooms?

Actually, this often happens when I die in combat.

I misread your explanation (and since have seen other forum posts about the issue).  (And have just died by Starvation, Thirst, and Organ Failure Due to Heat Stroke when a Raider butt stroked me to death; of course, considering all the raw squirrel and untreated water I'd been consuming, maybe I did die of all those things... first game where I didn't find a single lighter after wandering a good 20 hexes straight-line distance from the cyrovault (but not in a straight line)).

I'm usually very careful about what I consume. I'm rather fond of the metabolism perk, so I'm less sensitive to random starting conditions and can play things a bit safer when it comes to scavenging, etc. and wait to find safe food and water, or the equipment to make it. Unsafe water seems to kill slowly, when it does- you get quite a few turns with cholera and diarrhea (reminds me of Oregon trail and 'You have died of dysentry'). I imagine spoiled meat does the same. Heat stroke must be quite difficult to pull off as, on occasion, I've been wearing a full set of clothes next to a fire and still barely staying warm enough. Michigan must be cold. I'm quite certain it's a bug- one that's been reported before and a fix has been attempted, but I'm fairly sure it still exists.

Easiest way to pull off heatstroke is to wear two shirts, a hoodie, a hospital gown, a pair of shoes, a squirrel tunic, two pairs of gloves, and then drink several bottles of corn-o-cola (hey, I just realised... is that a pun on cornucopia?).

I've just died of everything. In reality it was a dogman giving me the deathblow, but gave me the death by everything message. In case it might help with the debugging, i was wearing a plastic bag (i recall reading somewhere that someone died of everything also while holding a plastic bag as container), and i was crippled when the dogman started attacking me.Hope it helps somehow.
