I've noticed that this happens with a lot of small reload items, like pills or lighter fuel. If you drop it in the wrong place it doesn't get returned or placed anywhere, it just disappears. Is this a common bug?
Could be one of 3 things I can think of:1 - The pill/fuel gets returned into a container. If you look inside containers in the box it came from, it may be inside one of those.2 - You ran into the item swap bug. If you drop a item A onto item B, and they switch places, and then you misplace item B, the game has trouble returning item B to it's point of origin, because item A is already there. In this case, items are disappearing.3 - A new bug I haven't seen before.Let me know which seems most likely. If it's 3, I may need to add a new bug to my fix list. Thanks!

I was extremely careful to eliminate 1, sometimes it might be 2, but I definitely spotted an instance last night where I was removing the refills from a newly found (and low condition) nanobot medikit and moving them into the slots of my good condition medikit (each kit in a hand). I missed the new slot by just a bit (halfway onto the background grey) and it disappeared. No slot, no return, no containers on the ground (including soup cans) and I went through my other containers to make sure (as I said, I had spotted that 1 happens from time-to-time and was careful to eliminate it before posting). Previously, I had lost a rifle to 2 when I swapped a backpack into my hand (at least now I know what happened to the rifle).
Oh, my workaround is to no longer put the destination medikit into a hand and instead just drop the refills into the medikit itself; this seems to work without failure.
