Actually, this has crossed my mind. It's not something I plan to tackle right away, but it's something I'd like to try later on. Most of the game is data-driven, which means that I could potentially make the game look "someplace else" for it's data, including user-defined data.It requires a lot of planning, hosting considerations, security, etc. But it's definitely something that interests me. A lot of my favorite games supported modding, and it's probably why I'm in the industry today. So I'm willing to try!
Sounds great. I would love to see all kinds of mods in NEO Scavenger's far future. World War I deserter mod. Far future sci-fi planet exploration mod. How about a mod where you play as an animal surviving in an ecosystem? The possibilities are awesome and endless.

The game is made in flash, so I don't think it's possible. Of course I have no experience in developing flash, so I have no idea.
