Unable to scavenge on plot; Saved and reopened then hung on loading creatures. File size right at 1,024 KB so curious if issue with size but local storage set to 10 MB and to notify if more needed. Issue reoccurred on restarting game. Looked over a couple of similar issues so assuming save corrupted. Turned auto save off for the future. Is there a way to grab key character info from the save even if it can't be loaded / any thing that I could trim to get it to load? Probably about an in game week in. But first game I found where necklace from so little partial to it at the moment.
Uploaded save file in case there is a pattern.

On the positive side just found out or remembered there is an android version. Any major differences between the PC and Android version? Looking forward to the new game and love this one.

Sorry for the save issue! This sounds a bit like one we hear about from time-to-time but could never reproduce.

Interesting point about the 1024KB size! That is definitely suspicious enough to warrant a look.

We're pretty heavy into Ostranauts dev right now, so we aren't able to thaw out the NEO Scavenger project for patches. But if we have time again, I think our next step is going to be trying a back-ported version of the Android edition on PC, since that engine seems a bit more stable and robust. (It uses Haxe instead of Flash.)

Which is a smooth segue into your other question: are there any major differences?

In general, no. We tried to keep both versions as similar as possible in substance. Though we had to make some adjustments for UI/UX on touchscreen.

Hopefully this helps answer your questions!
