Remember me? ;)
I just wanted to say "I'm back!", especially to those still around from the golden days of NEOScavenger's pre-Steam, pre-early access period. Of every game I've ever "backed" on Kickstarter, funded via Early Access or just bought outright, NEOScavneger is the only one (except maybe Project Zomboid) I feel any real loyalty and "parentage" to and the only one I can honestly say I've been there from the beginning. It was one heck of a ride!
Real life has taken me on many journeys since I was last here - heck, since I last logged in! - but even though I didn't have the spare time to revisit NEOScavenger, I never forgot it. Working with Dan on the game as it evolved as a tester, modder and player was a very special experience and time in my life.
I don't honestly know how many others are still playing this game, let alone modding/tweaking it, and I see a few folks have... ahem... "borrowed" my mods to make "mega mods" using their elements... but I'd love to try and polish up a "definitive" version of my major mods now that NEOScavenger is "done" (i.e. there are no more major updates planned).
In the coming next month or so, I therefore hope to finally try and update my mods. It's a long time coming, I know, and I'm not sure how the structure of the game has changed since I last modded/played it, so I can't promise I'll be able to do this quickly or indeed at all, but I hate thinking I never got to finish things off here before getting drawn away by real life stuff (not only polishing my mods for the final version, but also the few little unreleased mods I had, like psionics or "swords and shields").
Even if I don't get things done as I hope, I wanted to say a long-belated big thanks to Dan and everyone else who was part of the NEOScavenger experience.
(I still treasure my Jar of Screaming Eyes!)
