Black screen and music

Used to play NEOscavenger long ago, fell out of habit, trying to play again. Using Window's 7 and Chrome, open the game in a new browser window. Load screen apparently works fine (v1.15.6/9/2017 I think), then the play screen goes black and the music starts... but nothing else happens. There's a cursor I can move around, but nothing else.
This is with the Full game version. Tried the demo, which worked until I tried to go fullscreen, then it locked up, and now has the same black screen error.
If I click outside the game window, the music stops and a large white 'play' arrow appears.
I cleared my cache, and deleted all related files I could find, doesn't appear to help.

I was able to reproduce this issue when I launched the browser version in Chrome on Win10, too. And I think it might be due to Google phasing out Adobe's Flash player and replacing it with their own Pepper Flash player.

First, to fix the black screen, you'll have to manually clear the Flash sharedobjects. You should be able to find them here:

%AppData%\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Pepper Data\Shockwave Flash\WritableRoot\#SharedObjects\<random>\bluebottlegames.com

Where "%AppData%" is your Windows application data folder, typically something like:
C:\Users\EcchiKitty\AppData\

and "<random>" is a random series of letters and numbers.

When you find that bluebottlegames.com/ folder, delete everything inside it.

Then try launching NEO Scavenger in the browser again, but be sure to leave it windowed. The black screen bug seems to happen when you click "New Game" or "Continue" while in fullscreen mode. If you start the game in windowed mode, it seems to run normally. And I was able to switch to fullscreen at the skill select screen and things seemed fine after that.

Since Chrome appears to store sharedobjects differently than Adobe did, your settings and savegames might not work like they used to. My brief testing seemed to work okay with restoring save games, but I have no idea if that will work after closing the browser window.

I have a suspicion Chrome starts a new sharedobject folder for each browser session, and you'll lose data each time. It also changes the save filename from nsSGv1.sol to 00000001.sol. There's a chance you can manually move that 00000001.sol file around to other folders to workaround the browser session issue, but I haven't tested that fully.

Anyway, I apologize for the trouble this has caused. I thought Flash would be around for a while back when the game was started in 2011. Clearly I was wrong!

Deleted the bluebottlegames folder, and it worked, thank you.

I know this is an older question, but I'm having the same error on a Chromebook. I don't know if the same folder exists, but any help or suggestions would be very appreciated, thank you.
