Plan for Demo, Stand-Alone Version
Only a few bug fixes today, so I'm not going to upload a new beta version just yet.
However, I've got a plan that I think I'm happy with for updating the demo. It was hard coming up with the right balance of features/content to keep vs. limit in the demo, but I may have a good compromise. I've started work on that today, and hopefully I can have the demo updated within a week.
I also started exploring what would be required to do a stand-alone version of NEO Scavenger (i.e. downloadable instead of browser-based). I plan to keep the browser version for those who prefer that, but I'll need a downloadable version if I want to use services like Steam or Desura.
The good news is that this seems like it might be pretty straightforward, using Adobe's AIR framework. I should know more about that soon. I may need some intrepid Mac and Linux users to test it once it's ready. I'll post news to that effect when it happens.
Anyway, more behind-the-scenes type stuff today, unfortunately. Have a good one, all!
