Bug Fixes, and NEO Scavenger Trailer Work

Been working most of the day on NEO Scavenger's first trailer. As I gear up for launch on Desura, I need to have certain checkboxes ticked, including a gameplay trailer.

I think I've finished a version I'm happy with today, and plan to upload it once the demo's ready and Desura's all setup. Can't wait to share it!

I also managed to fix a few bugs, though I want to nail a few more before uploading a new build. Today, bug fixes included:

  • Fixed a bug in AI when opponent was not seen (would just stand there and search, rather than use blind fight/flee options).
  • Fixed a bug in creature spawning that ignored items on the ground in the spawn hex (e.g. not getting campfire benefits/penalties when spawned).
  • Fixed a bug in applying whiskey to wounds (wasn't displaying success message in message area).

Will the desura version be an offline/stand-alone release?

Oh, and are registered users going to get a Desura key or will we need to re-purchase it?

The Desura version will be downloadable, offline executable. I asked about free Desura keys for current customers, and it sounds like that's doable too. Not sure how it works yet, but that's what I'll be aiming for.

It's sort of new territory for me, though, so it could be clunky until I get the kinks sorted out!
